            I came across this photograph of “yours truly” taken by my good friend David Hayes at Grantham on the 17th February 1979 and thought I would upload it to remind me of how much “hardier” I was in my youth and did not allow the weather to get in the way of a day out on the railway. 

In connection with a bit of a do for my retirement I have been reviewing a number of shots of myself, friends and colleagues and decided this one would benefit from a "makeover"
