The death room - ex stabilimento Florio - Favignana - Italy

            Ex magazzini del carbone, “The death room”.

All’interno degli ex magazzini del carbone si sviluppa la video installazione “The death room”, una sequenza di schermi di grande formato in tulle a maglia larga, che prende spunto, dallo schema della camera della morte della tonnara di Favignana.

Su questi schermi vengono proiettate in loop immagini subacquee di branchi di tonni in attesa del loro destino che si ripete nei secoli e di cui adesso ne resta solo la memoria. Di riverbo, dalla superficie, arrivano in lontananza i canti ritmici, le cialome, le nenie dei tonnaroti già pronti ad alzare le reti.
