            When I knew That I  was going to move to Vienna, I had never visited either Vienna or Austria before... a friend of mine had mored there before me but we lost touch (until I moved there again) 

So I was understandingly curious about me new homeland and I had one acquaintance who had lived in Vienna (or so he claimed) 

Over a beer at some pub he told me a story that scared my guts out of stomach... 

He said, it is pittoresque place where all buildings where shiny and polished and hoards of tourists roamed the street and there was no Graffiti to be seen anywhere...

How wrong he was...

Either he just tried to scare me,
or he had never really lived in Vienna or perhaps he  just walled up and down the graben and the street between Staatsoper and the cathedral?

Clearly he was so wrong as you see in this picture from my early time in Vienna when I lived at Margareten :)
