Postbridge Waterfalls - a photo on Flickriver

This was the highlight destination of our walk last Sunday - the East Dart River falls near Postbridge, simply called the Waterfall. The 5 mile circular walk starts in Postbridge, in the heart of Dartmoor National Park then leads along the river up to Hartland Tor and into open moorland. Most of the walk was very boggy which made it slow-going and tricky so it took us much longer than expected and the sun was almost setting when we arrived back at the Dartmoor visitor centre.
It was also incredibly warm - way warmer than expected and we spent most of the day without a jacket on.
The waterfall is a lovely picnic spot and we enjoyed the views for a while before attempting a very adventurous and slippery crossing (single file, daddy carrying the boys one by one).
