Description: In early February, I participated in a winter photography workshop in the Black Forest. This was conducted by Andreas Wonisch whose fantastic photostream I've been following for a while. After nearly two months, I've finally managed to postprocess the first images. Though the spring is finally here, I thought that I still upload this winter landscape to say goodbye to winter! ;)

Unfortunately, we had bad luck with the weather that day. At our first location on the Schauinsland the Wind Beeches didn´t have as much snow as we hoped for it. After we had taken some photos there, we went hopefully to our second location - the Feldsee on the Feldberg. After about an hour's walk through a snowy forest trail we reached the Feldsee, which is idyllically situated at the foot of the Feldberg. The lake was almost completely frozen and we hoped that the fog would drop a little deeper.

After a few meters we already discovered this rock, which stood out from the frozen lake and offered us with the forest and the rocks in the background a great motive. But after a few minutes it began increasingly to rain, so we packed up and decided to go for a lunch break. Fortunately, however, a few good shots we have succeeded.

Anfang Februar nahm ich an einem Winterfotografie Workshop im Südschwarzwald teil, welcher von Andreas Wonisch durchgeführt wurde, dessen Fotostream ich schon eine Weile begeistert verfolge. Nach fast zwei Monaten habe ich es nun endlich geschafft, die ersten Bilder nachzubearbeiten. Obwohl der Frühling endlich da ist, dachte ich mir, dass ich dennoch diese Winteraufnahme hochlade um den Winter zu verabschieden.

Leider meinte es der Wettergott an diesem Tag nicht sonderlich gut mit uns. Nachdem an unserer ersten Location auf dem Schauinsland bei den Windbuchen bereits nicht so viel Schnee lag wie wir uns das erhofft hatten, fuhren wir nachdem wir einige Bilder geschossen haben hoffnungsvoll zu unserer zweiten Location - dem Feldsee auf dem Feldberg. Nach ca. einer Stunde Wanderung über einen schneebedeckten Ziehweg erreichten wir den Feldsee, welcher idyllisch am Fuße des Feldbergs liegt. Der See war nahezu komplett zugefroren und wir hofften, dass sich der Nebel noch etwas tiefer fallen lassen würde.

Nach wenigen Metern entdeckten wir bereits diesen Felsen, welcher aus dem gefrorenen See herausragte und uns mit dem Wald und den Felsen im Hintergrund ein tolles Motiv bot. Doch bereits nach wenigen Minuten fing es immer stärker an zu regnen, so dass wir zusammenpacken mussten und uns für eine Mittagspause entschieden. Glücklicherweise sind uns dennoch ein paar gute Aufnahmen gelungen.
