New year - a photo on Flickriver

New year

            Every year, on the first of January, after drinking champagne and listening to the president, the people crawl out of their apartments and in all the courtyards there comes a fiery fairy tale accompanied by a cannonade. In 2012, I had so many shots fired under my windows that such a palm tree grew up. Since then, I have continued the tradition of photographing the New Year's salute in the first hour after the new year. And here's what's interesting: every year the fireworks are becoming rarer and weaker, and last year I couldn't take any pictures, because nobody came out to this playground in front of the house. Either people have less money for entertainment, or all the fireworks are already boring — I do not know. In 2019, the situation was better than in the past, but they shot a little bit under the windows, from which I concluded that the economic decline in the country has finally passed.

Каждый год, первого января, после боя курантов, выпив шампанского и послушав президента, народ выползает на улицу из своих квартир и во всех дворах наступает огненная феерия, сопровождаемая канонадой. В 2012 году у меня под окнами стреляли так много, что выросла такая пальма. С тех пор я продолжаю традицию фотографировать новогодний салют в первый час после нового года. И вот что интересно: с каждым годом салюты становятся все реже и слабее, а в прошлом году мне не удалось сделать ни одного снимка, потому как на эту детскую площадку перед домом не вышел никто. То ли у людей стало меньше денег на развлечения, то ли салюты уже всем приелись — не знаю. В 2019 году ситуация была получше, чем в прошлом, под окнами все-таки немного постреляли, из чего я сделал вывод, что экономический упадок в стране был, наконец, пройден.
