Another Beautiful Meander - a photo on Flickriver

            Horseshoe Bend, Northern Arizona

I visited this site for the first time almost exactly a year before and uploaded a resulting photo. It was taken fairly late in the afternoon, however, which was not the most suitable of times. I still wanted more shadow than you usually see in these photos, so I arrived here late in the morning (I don't know exactly as my camera decided on its own to change the date and time). The result this time was considerably better, IMO. Another major difference from last year's photo, last year's was taken using a zoom lens at 19mm and was a Pano combining three photos. This year I used a 35mm lens and it took 18 photos to capture the entire scene.

Next time, if there is one, I think I'll arrive in the early morning as is customary.

I liked the color version as well, but as is so often the case, I slightly preferred the B&W.
