Windy at Bow Fiddle - a photo on Flickriver

            Having cancelled Saturday due to a forecast offering nothing photographically, Iain and I were 'forced' to head east and coastal yesterday by the continuing bad weather out west. Not that the east was due to be great with strong winds and limited breaks in the cloud, we still pinned our hopes on a sunrise at an old favourite, Bow Fiddle Rock.  It was certainly windy (and I wasn't about to risk my usual cliff-edge shoot location) which meant the sea was as rough as I'd experienced here and with the tide just receding from its high point there was plenty of scope for some LE shots around the rocks.  The sun unfortunately remained hidden behind a blanket of high cloud though there was just about enough texture to add a little something to the sky.  With hundreds of gulls and other seabirds perched on Bow Fiddle there are always others coming and going above the rock.  These were 'disappeared' by the long exposure so I shot a few frames at high ISO, (6400-2560) to capture some flying and blended one of these images with my LE.
