'That' Tree at Affric - a photo on Flickriver

            Back in September when Iain and I were last at Glen Affric we were treated to some spectacular misty, and almost perfectly still, conditions.  Yesterday could hardly have been more different. Still under the effects of Storm Aiden, we had at times to contend with 40Kt winds and driving rain.  The sun did however make a few short appearances and I was able to capture such a moment when my favourite tree, in gorgeous Autumn attire, briefly lit up..  I had just dropped in a 5 stop ND to try and 'tame' the water and expected to then blend a faster exposure to remove any leaf movement on the trees.  However, in the dozen or so subsequent shots the light was just not of the same quality and I decided to compromise on a little bit of leaf blurring by sticking to a single exposure image with this fantastic glow.
