Majestic Ullswater - a photo on Flickriver

Majestic Ullswater

            A sunrise this morning from Ullswater, which at first I didn't think was going to materialize into anything.  I did intend to just shoot "the" boathouse, but the fog just rolled in thicker and thicker, so moved on, and glad I did.  This is a new spot on Ullswater for me, but one I will revisit. 

This was one of those rare moments when the beauty unfolding before you really does just make you forget about everything else going on in the world, a very magical morning....besides the cold, wet feet, apparently wellies are only any good when the water doesn't reach the top of them lol!

I was going to treat myself to a new body over Xmas, but after this, i'm going to stick with the 450d, but buy a Canon 10-22 lens instead, as would have loved to have got more of this scene in shot.
