Snowy Owl - Snowbank - a photo on Flickriver

"Snowy Owl White Landscape" by Patti Deters. A single Snowy owl (Nyctea scandiaca) bird is seen sitting on a snowbank with a snow covered field in the background. What looks like a simple photo actually took days of planning and searching. These raptors love extreme winter cold and open areas which mimic a tundra environment. Not quite high key, but I like the white on white effect in this minimal monochrome scene.
