Stockholm - a photo on Flickriver

Stockholm

            I didn't expect to be so taken with Stockholm. Even this far north on one of the shortest days of the year the city never failed to impress. Doing it justice in photos is a challenge, and one that I hope to have another shot at again soon. Here's a view from Slussen, the area connecting Södermalm and Gamla stan (Old Town) as seen above. 

The clocks on the towers register 3:50pm. Thanks to the long exposure, more color and light were extracted from the sky than would have been perceived in person. The color is genuine, however, and was a treat to see... even if it was so early in the day. 

Two frames stitched together, 30 seconds apiece. No filters.
