Sanctuary, along the Mekong, Laos - a photo on Flickriver

At an elephant sanctuary near Luang Prabang. Captive elephants previously used for logging find a friendlier home here. Whilst this is a massive step up from the abuse for hard labour the elephants were still used for tourism and for me elephants belong in the wild.

Last one from the Luang Prabang area for now. I never processed files from this day before now, as I had shot on ISO 800 for some reason, which is not so advisable on a modest Nikon D300 back in 2009 (as I learned from that trip). On the other hand, my processing has improved and it's a cracking moment and portrait. How do you think?
