            Oare Marshes Nature reserve consists of a flat expanse of fresh and brackish water and marshland lying alongside the river Swale, which connects the Medway and Thames and isolates the Isle of Sheppy.
It is a magical place, steeped in history and wildlife.Harty ferry, where the car park is, was once a crossing point to Sheppy, with moorings for Thames barges, fishing (and oyster) boats and pleasure craf
