Reaching Out...Three Bristlecone Pines After a Long Life.

            These two non-living trees likely started life 3,000 to 4,000 years ago...or more.......and they are still standing.  The oldest living tree in this area of the White Mountains in California is said to be 4,852 years old, the oldest living anything (non-clonal) on earth.  It's about at an 11,000 ft elevation.

Sorry for the heavy post processing, but this was a poor image SOOC....I just found it in my old files and I wanted to use it!
