Colville Covered Bridge - a photo on Flickriver

            I love tracking down a good covered bridge. In truth, I even like tracking down a lousy covered bridge; I've never been on a covered bridge hunt that hasn't been a worthwhile adventure.
This little bridge, located just outside of Cynthiana Kentucky, was an outstanding discovery.
It sits on a little bitty road, that connects to a small road, that forks off of an empty section of highway 68.
It seems frozen in time. Instead of being repainted and resurfaced, it just sits there quietly, looking, I'm sure, the same as it did a hundred years ago. (When I was shooting, I kept waiting for a Model T Ford to come scooting past.)
After I set up and took a few pics, I noticed something... it was dead silent in this place. Not a sound, neither man-made nor from mother nature. No wind, no critters, no water trickling, nothing. You could hear the camera shutter trip from twenty feet away. I didn't want to leave. It was addicting. But I had to go... get home in time to feed the cat.
