Lay in peace

            For a lot of us landscape photographers this week was a sad one with a loss of a  well known landmark in nature and photography a like.The Sycamore Gap Tree by Hadrian's Wall was cut down on the 28th of this month in an act of idiotic mindless stupidity. There's been quite a few posts on the web and social media worldwide and all as I condemn this act of vandalism.
I never had the chance to photograph this treasure of England and now never will, so I can only try and bring some small sense of happiness back in this image showing a fallen tree can still look beautiful and peaceful.
