Auf solch ein Foto habe ich lange gewartet. 
Das Uhu-Männchen sitzt tagsüber normalerweise weit oben in seinem Turm auf der ehemaligen Zeche Ewald in Herten. Bei dieser Gelegenheit hatte er aber seinen Platz verlassen. Er flog einen Scheinangriff auf einen vorbeilaufenden Hund, der seinen Jungen, die mittlerweile ihr Nest verlassen haben, zu Nahe kam. Anschließend ließ er sich kurz auf dieser Position (mittlere Etage des Förderturms) nieder.
Mit meiner leichten MFT-Ausrüstung konnte ich rasch reagieren und mich auf die zum Dach der ehemaligen Heizzentrale führenden Treppe begeben. So war ich mit dem Uhu fast auf „Augenhöhe“. Das ist ein unbestreitbarer Vorteil des MFT-Systems, denn die Fotografenkollegen mit Vollformatkameras und ihren langen Tüten auf Stativen konnten ihren Platz naturgemäß nicht in der erforderlichen Zeit wechseln. Nach einer guten Minute verließ der Uhr diese Position wieder, um zu seinem angestammten Platz zu wechseln. 
Ich war zufrieden, das lange erhoffte Foto im Kasten zu haben.
