The incredible power of Dettifoss (in Explore 22-04-2020)

Sorting through old pictures I came upon this one. I already posted one of Dettifoss (www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/47454630091/in/photol...) from the other side, but from here it is even more impressive because you can see deeper into the canyon, and the power the water exerts on the surrounding rocks and as a result all the wind that sweeps up the water everywhere. It is really an adventure to keep your camera dry!

The clouds in this case add up to the image. It is not easy to get to the other side because there is no bridge so you have to drive all the way around to reach this point. But as a reward you can also see the wonderful Hafragilsfoss waterfall (www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/44611223752/in/photol...).
