Barking Mad

            Outside the Dog Star, Brixton, London. On a sign above it it boasts: "The Dog Star,,, Some say to survive it, you need to be mad as a hatter.... barking mad."

The Dog Star AKA Sirius is frequently associated with intelligence as it is the brightest star. However, Homer said Sirus was ".. an evil portent, bringing heat and fevers to suffering humanity."

Perhaps Suffering Humanity may be a better title for this shot. And maybe we all have to be a little mad to keep our heads above water as a suffering human: some suffering waaaay more than others. Life can be glorious. But it can be blooming lousy too. It SHOULD get better. Those parts that we can make better, that is. That would be the intelligent thing.... wouldn't it?
