Schloss Kornberg / Kornberg Castle - a photo on Flickriver

            Der auffällig rote Renaissance-Innenhof des Schlosses überraschte mich, weil ich mit einer eher dezenteren Farbgebung gerechnet hätte. Gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber nicht schlecht. Mal etwas Anderes. Die vielen großen Rundbogenfenster übern den umlaufenden Arkaden verliehen dem großen Hof eine zusätzliche Leichtigkeit, die das Leben im Schloss sicher noch freundlicher gestaltet. Insgesamt scheint mir das als eine sehr interessante und gute architektonische Lösung für ein so altes Schloss !

The striking red Renaissance courtyard of the castle surprised me, because I would have expected more subtle colours. It takes some getting used to, but not bad. Something different for a change. The many large round-arched windows above the surrounding arcades lent the large courtyard an additional lightness that certainly makes life in the palace even friendlier. All in all, this seems to me to be a very interesting and good architectural solution for such an old castle !
