St Cirq Lapopie ©¹/14 Lot - a photo on Flickriver

            Un des plus beaux villages de France et un des lieux les plus touristiques du Lot, Saint-Cirq-Lapopie est un village-musée presque entièrement classé et bien connu des artistes ,accroché sur une falaise à 100 mètres au-dessus du Lot
sur la vallée du Lot, Le bourg médiéval de Saint-Cirq Lapopie, qui compte 13 monuments historiques est l’un des plus beaux villages de France. Au sommet du plateau,les  ruines de trois châteaux et l'église Saint-Cirq-et-Sainte-Juliette, puissante église du XVe siècle .
Ses ruelles sont  escarpées et étroites, avec  maisons médiévales du XIVe siècle en encorbellement et aux toits pointus 
Un parking situé à mi chemin de la vallée pour contenir le flot de visiteurs avec un accès  piéton permettent tranquillement entre autres d'aller à la découverte du  village.
