TIKAL TEMPLE 6 on a sunny afternoon in February 1984. Tikal Temple IV is one of the smaller Mayan Temples found among the spellbinding Mayan Ruins at Tikal National Park in the Departamento de Petén of northeastern Guatemala.

Tikal Temple 6 is rather isolated from the center of the Tikal Mayan Ruins. It is located at the end of the Tikal Méndez Causeway which extends to the southeast Tikal Great Plaza and it is largely surrounded by tropical lowland forest. Temple 6 is also known as the Temple of the Inscriptions or Templo de las Inscripciones. Tikal Temple IV was dedicated AD 766.
