In these modern hectic times (where few of us have to worry about the real things in life; "am I safe", "how do I keep warm", "how do I get enough to eat and drink") we have a tendency to fill that gap with trivial nonsense.

Does it really matter what people in the street think of you ?
Does it actually make a difference if your shoes don't match your jacket ?
Why do you have to look like everyone else?

One of the secrets of a happy and stress free life is not worrying about the following:

1) Things you can't do anything about. (If you can do something then do it don't just worry about it).

2) What you imagine other people think of you (your usually wrong anyway).

3) That you won't fit in with the crowd, (if you do nobody can tell you from the next person).

Be your own person, work hard at being good at what ever it is you are or do.

Be confident (it happens naturally when you stop worrying about the trivia in life).

Learn to appreciate the thing that you have, (spend some time looking at the situations other people have to deal with, NO ONE has a perfect life).

Don't be scared to offer some one a "helping hand" it often costs little if anything and most people don't forget  freely offered help.
