Why do I remember them? 
Why do I sift through them?
 I do, but not because I know what they may hold.
 If there’s anything they hold. 
Times of feeling you were there,
 that you were close.
 A hall, a corridor: 
walking down a corridor, 
the damp stone walls, 
a smell of dampness, cold, but a feeling of what? 
That I wasn’t alone?
 That someone was near, 
not visible, but near me, that someone was there.
