Red Kite with Goose Skull - a photo on Flickriver

            just over my garden boundary is an Ash tree, regular viewers and followers of my stream will have seen many photos of this tree. The tree has recently become a favourite roost for the local Red Kites to consume their meals of carrion, often I am working and can only observe from a distance, though I have been fortunate today to catch this image under more reasonable light than on many previous occasions.

I need to emphasise this is a wild bird, it is not fed or tamed. I am just fortunate that it chose somewhere local to me to eat its meals. I have been practicing my field skills in order to get close enough with the camera to get images of these wary creatures.

Quite where it has found a goose I am not sure.                                      
regardless its a welcome release while shielding at home with my family from the Covid-19 Pandemic.
