Australia Day Fireworks 4 - a photo on Flickriver

            Here is one of the more spectacular fireworks explosions. Thousands of people lined the banks of the Tamar to cheer on.

PHOTO NOTE: Each of these shots were taken over an exposure of 10 seconds at f/20 and ISO 100. I've found these to be the best manual settings for most fireworks shoots. 10 seconds allows the firework to "unfold". Since they are so bright there is no need for an ISO greater than 100, so one may as well get the best picture quality available. Finally, anything in the f/16-22 range is fine. I've found that often people will open their aperture too wide and thus risk over-exposing the shot and losing a lot of the colour.
