Cicada Exoskeleton (Natural Light) - a photo on Flickriver

            Shot with a Nikon D7000 and a Nikon Nikkor 105mm macro lens. I used a tripod and remote timer for this.

This is the exoskeleton that Cicadas molt out of when they emerge from the ground, and transition from nymphs to adults. This one was hanging upside down from a tree branch, and there is no Cicada inside the exoskeleton.
