In September I went on a 2 day trip to Tottori Prefecture on the north, I wanted to see the Japanese sea, and the only 'desert' in Japan - the Tottori Sand Dunes. I wanted to make this trip in the crazy way, so I had to go alone. No hotels, no expensive transport! decided to sleep outside, so I can feel the night atmosphere of Tottori, and anyway I wanted to get the first trin in the morning to visin one more place so there was no point to book any hotel, as I was about to leave at 5am.

First I saw the Sand Dunes, reall awesome place that deserves one more visit! It was so crowded and so hot there. Then I was back to Tottori in the evening and that was an interesting evening... I was planning to walk around there, then find some 24 hours McDonalds, and spend the night there (for being 2 years in Japan, I find the McDonalds as one of the best places to spend several hours even sleep a bit hehe) but it didn't turn to be so easy!

In my walk at the night city I saw many interesting scenes, like a Computer Classroom building, that had a big old and dirty sign "Windows 95 Lessons"... Hello, people! It's 2009! I'm so sorry I didn't take picture! Then many times around me were passing shiny cars, with a mafia looking driver and full of WOMEN, who were obviously 'for sale' later in some club, I think some interesting night life was going on somewhere!

Then I found the McDonalds, that fortunately was saying '24 hours open' I took my seat there, but it was full of yankee looking guys, and it was so damn cold inside, I think even colder than outside, so I couldn't really spend the whole night there and preferred to go somewhere outside, where I might see something interesting!

And I did! I was taking rest at a park close to the Tottori Station, and suddenly there were some screams... what was that?! Some guys were fighting there, some of them were dressed with official clothes and neckties, and they were obviously looking for someone, who might have done something bad to them... I didn't want to ask them, hehe! I'm not sure if they found him, but after some more time the police also appeared, and it... kinda became interesting to view from distance!

That was a trip full of interesting experiences and I know a lot of new things about Japan that you can't read in the tourist guide books! I'm looking forward to my next trip I'm planning to do in that way, maybe to Tohoku on the north!
