The Empire City

            The tale of day 2 - haven't had much opportunity to shoot, so I have been browsing my library and looking at some older shots and wondering… how much better they would be if I shot them now? "In my mind", I have developed some skill at shooting and post processing, so would it actually make a difference is the question.

My previous post (The way to NY) was a revisit I was proud of. I don't believe I could have produced that image a couple years back. I realize with these classic locations the light and circumstance will play just as much, if not more of a role than the photographer.  However, if nature affords similar opportunity, can I make more of that opportunity is the question?

This is another classic NYC view I decided to revisit. I got the 2 day pass to get a better chance at good light. The first day was a gray day with clouds (I have some ideas for that). This is the results of the second day. Nature provided great early blue hour light on this evening and I put my “upgraded” skills to the test with this long exposure (wink, wink, no tripods allowed).
