After my walk from San Sebastian Church after my licensure exam, I saw a very familiar structure where the Black Nazarene is currently in place. I came across the three churches to unwind and pray (for passing the exam), and thank God, I did it!

Seven years later, I was able to get nearer to Quiapo Church and its interior. I can't believe to see this again after such a long time.

ABOUT QUIAPO CHURCH

Quiapo Church is one of Manila’s famous landmarks where the Black Nazarene, an image of Christ believed to be miraculous, is currently staying. The life-size statue, carved from ebony, was first seen in Manila in 1606 in its original home at Bagumbayan (now Luneta), and was eventually brought to Quiapo in 1767.

The current structure is the 1933 replacement of an older structure destroyed by fire and it was designed by famous architect Juan Nakpil. The Black Nazarene image is being carried by thousands of devotees in one of Manila’s biggest religious festivals, the Black Nazarene Procession, which usually happens every January 9 every year.
