That last sunset I captured was a full one! I was able to get a few nice images out of it. The highlight of the evening was a large wave that got me pretty much from the middle down. I was soaked. I was able to lift my camera up out of the water, but I had to look back to make sure my son, all of age 6, was not standing right behind me. He was back at where I put the blanket, about 50 feet behind where I was shooting. He did not get wet, but I did have to bring home a wet blanket! This is the image right before the wave, you can see it to the right. Well, kind of see it, this is a .8 of a second exposure, so its a bit muffled, but it packed a punch. I guess the wave was not really all that huge, but the fact that it was a wave on top of a wave, my feet, as you can see, were already wet at this point.

All in all, it was a great night of shooting and I hope I can make it out for a sunset again soon!

Geek talk: For this image, I believe I was done with the ND filters, and I was using only one filter at this point. My Hitech hard grad filter, which is 3 stops. Please, enjoy!
