Castello di Pontebosio - a photo on Flickriver

            Pontebosio è stato fatto costruire dalla famiglia dei Bosi, signori della Verrucola di Fivizzano nell'XI-XII secolo. Il borgo è dominato dal castello seicentesco, caratterizzato da quattro torri quadrangolari.
A ridosso della strada si trova il ponte a basse arcate, passaggio obbligato per le pievi di Soliera e Venelia. Pontebosio fu feudo indipendente a partire dal 1631 con Ludovico I Malaspina.

Pontebosio was built by the Bosi family, lords of Verrucola di Fivizzano in the 11th-12th centuries. The village is dominated by the seventeenth-century castle, characterized by four quadrangular towers.
Close to the road is the bridge with low arches, an obligatory passage for the parishes of Soliera and Venelia. Pontebosio was an independent fief starting from 1631 with Ludovico I Malaspina.
