Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse revisited

            Almost a year to the day I made it back to this spot with a specific sunset shot in mind, closer to the water and shooting back towards the lighthouse with the rocks in full view.  Of course mother nature had other plans – a thick layer of clouds obscured the sky and there was no sunset.  

Making the best of what I was given, I stuck a 10 stop neutral density filter on the front of my lens and spent a chilly couple of hours capturing long exposures and chatting with others who had come to take in the view.
