Rice winnowing / Vannage du riz - Hue, Central Vietnam

Despite of the mechanization of the rice harvest, there are still many small plots which do not neccesite the use of agricultural machinery. Winnowing rice is done in this case by hand immediately after harvest and before drying paddy in the sun.

Malgrès la mécanisation de la récolte du riz, on trouve encore de nombreuses parcelles dont la petite taille ne neccesite pas l'emploi de machines agricoles. Le vannage du riz se fait dans ce cas à la main juste après la récolte et avant de faire sécher le paddy au soleil.
