River Stour, Dorset - a photo on Flickriver

            This is the River Stour at White Mill near Sturminster Marshall in Dorset. As you can see the water is well above its normal level. This shot was taken from White Mill Bridge which is thought to date from 16th century although apparently it stands on wooden pilings that have been carbon dated to the 12th century.  Despite its age and attacks like this from the elements it seems as sturdy as ever.
