Ranunculus: Renaissance Pastello 'Crema'

My Renaissance Pastello 'Crema' ranunculus.
All the way from the Biancheri flower farm at San Remo, in Italy.

Renaissance ranunculi are cultivated by legendary ranunculi growers, the Biancheri family of Italy, who started growing ranunculi, and anemones, in San Remo in the 1800s.

Back in the 1800s Duilio Biancheri sent rose petals across the Alps from his Italian farm on the Riviera Dei Fiori, in Liguria. But then he saw an opportunity to grow ranunculi instead of roses. So he began growing ranunculi and today the same family, including Duilio’s grandchildren, are responsible for breeding some of the world’s most beautiful ranunculi and anemones.

These ranunculi from Italy are now the 'gold standard' for ranunculi in the world today. Their ranunculi are always a highlight at the International Flower Trade Fair, held each year, in early November, in the Netherlands. Italy is regarded as the world leader for ranunculi flowers.

Available in Australia through Tesselaars (a Dutch company in Silvan, Victoria), and definitely not to be found at Bunnings, lol.
