Art Hall Sammlung Boros - a photo on Flickriver

The Boros Collection is a private art collection of the media entrepreneur and art patron Christian Boros and his wife Karen Boros, which is located in the former bunker on Friedrichstrasse in Berlin. The Boros family lives in a new apartment on top of the bunker.
The bunker was built in 1941-42 by French prisoners of war as a shelter for the civilian population. After World War II the bunker became a warehouse for textiles and for tropical fruits. In 1992 the techno club “Bunker” became one of the most important centers of the electronic scene. In 1996 an art exhibition was shown and in 2003 Christian and Karen Boros bought the bunker. In 2007 the renovation was completed. The Boros collection includes groups of works by international artists from 1990 to today. Since 2008, excerpts from the collection have been stored in the former bunker on 3,000 m² in 80 rooms.
