Lund Tramway - a photo on Flickriver

Lund Tramway

Lund has now one tram line and is one of four cities in Sweden with trams (the other cities are Gothenburg with 12 lines, Stockholm with 4 lines, and Norrköping with 2 lines).
Plans to build a nearly 6 km (3.7 mi) tramway in Lund were approved in 2015. The tram line was opened to the public in December 2020. The 15-minute tram ride connects Lund Central Station with the hospital, Lund University, the new upcoming district of Brunnshög, Ideon Science Park, and other work-places in the city.
The city of Uppsala has also plans to build a tramway that will be inaugurated in 2029.
