Female bushbuck & Buffon's kob at the Junction Pool in Zakouma National Park in Chad

            The Buffon's or western kob (Kobus kob kob) is the most widely distributed of the three kob subspecies and is common in protected areas across the Western and Central Sahel region. They are very abundant in Zakouma particularly along the Salamat River and in the south of the park.
