Tender Is The Night - a photo on Flickriver

Tender is the night
When all are sleeping
The body can rest
While the mind is dreaming
But what of me
And my beginning
Because this is where
My real journey starts
The culmination
Of my Lord’s designing
The world of justice
With ignoble hurts
The birds are sweetly singing
The last refrain of my song
For when death himself
Comes swiftly stealing
My soul away under his cloak
When midday lost its light
Under the cover of night
In the broad light of day

The title 'Tender Is The Night' is from the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald. A convoluted mental exploration. And this title was itself taken from the poem ‘Ode To A Nightingale’ by John Keats. This title has inspired many works from different artists and I am no different. This particular image of the "Christ Tree" that I had taken made me think of the title. And then my poem followed soon after.
