Little Moreton Hall, Cheshire - a photo on Flickriver

            Little Moreton Hall, a moated, half timbered house near Congleton in Cheshire. 
Built for William Moreton, a well to do Cheshire landowner, early parts of the house date from 1504 with additions being made over the next 100 years by succeeding family members.
Still surrounded by its moat, it is a Grade 1 listed building, managed and cared for by the National Trust.
This wonderful building is open to the public and well worth a visit to experience a close up view of history.
