The Dark Days of Lock Down - a photo on Flickriver

            This photograph was taken during the period when Tasmania was just coming out of the lock down. This is Evandale's famous bakery. Normally it would be filled with people. Instead we have crosses on the floor to mark where people can stand for social distancing purposes. Welcome to the new "normal". I am pleased to say that Tasmania has not had a single case of the virus in over six months.

UPDATE: Tasmania has had zero cases in over 14 months now. The rest of Australia has gone lock down mad with more than half the population and three complete states in total lock down mode for less than 2,000 cases concurrently (90 percent of those in Sydney). We live in very strange times indeed. The only virus in history where you need to get tested to prove you have it. Remember, no matter the sad personal cost, it is still true that 98% of people who get the virus fully recover. Most would not even know they have it - hence the need to get tested.
