Wilhelmine and Grace Gunderstrup - a photo on Flickriver

            Wilhelmine "Minnie" Frederikke Elbeck was born in 1873 in Denmark to Hans Elbeck Christensen (1845-?) and Sophia Catherine Marie Benck (1841-1912). Minnie came to the US in 1891 and settled in the Chicago, IL area. On 18 Oct 1900, Minnie married Knud Gundestrup (1868-1919). Minnie and Knud had 2 children: Grace (1903-?) and Evelyn (1914-1968). After the passing of Knud, Minnie would spend time with her brother in Long Beach, CA and then back to Chicago. On 19 Sep 1934 in Los Angeles, CA, Minnie passed away.

Grace Gundestrup was born on 5 Mar 1903 in Chicago, Cook County, IL to Knud Gundestrup (1868-1919) and Wilhelmine "Minnie" Frederikke Elbeck (1873-1934). Grace was married twice. First on 6 Oct 1924 in Jefferson County, KY to Johannes "John" Gundestrup (1901-?).  There were no children from this marriage. Grace divorced John in July 1932 in Los Angeles, CA. In 1933, Grace married Dr. Munford Smith (1891-1937). There were no children from this marriage. I have not been able to find Grace in any records or newspapers after a handful of mentions in society papers in the Los Angeles area. There were no mentions of Grace in either her mother's obituary nor her sister's. It's unknown at this time when Grace passed.
