8686DN was YPJ505Y Skills 86 - a photo on Flickriver

            Captured at the depot in Nottingham June 1994. Closest to the camera a long wheel-base Leyland Olympian with Eastern Coachworks body fleet number 86 (8686 DN). This was new in 1983 to National Bus Company subsidiary Alder Valley as fleet number 1505, when registered YPJ 505Y and operated on London commuter services to and from the Thames Valley area.
Further away though an Alexander bodied Volvo Ailsa circa 1976 originally supplied to West Midlands PTE as their number 4761 (JOV 761P). It and 49 of its sisters were acquired by London Buses for LRT contracted routes in north and north west London, the majority based out of Harrow Weald bus garage. This was subsequently acquired by Skills in August 1990
