La femme de Jaisalmer - a photo on Flickriver

            Jaisalmer (Inde) - Ville-forteresse du Rajasthan sur la route de la soie, Jaisalmer est à une trentaine de kilomètres de la frontière pakistanaise. La ville est quasiment monochrome, se parant d’ocre, la couleur du désert de Thar. Certains habitants rehaussent la teinte naturelle ambiante en peignant leurs demeures de couleurs vives. Mais cette pratique est aujourd’hui réalisée à la marge car la plupart de des havéli - petits palais traditionnels - restent fidèles à la couleur du sable.
Cette façade a été photographiée dans la ville basse. Le quartier est situé au pied de la forteresse. Bien entendu, mon attention a été retenue cette façade fraichement repeinte avec des touches de couleurs vives. Malheureusement, il n’y avait personne. Je regardais dans mon viseur pour voir comment pourrait se composer la photo si je décidais de la prendre. C’est à ce moment que la femme à surgi de la droite. Surpris, j’ai quand même eu le temps de déclencher. Je me suis dit que rien n’était perdu et que la femme allait bien repasser à un moment ou à un autre. Dix minutes plus tard, elle n’était pas revenue. Alors j’ai abandonné.

The wife of Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer (India) - Fortress city of Rajasthan on the Silk Road, Jaisalmer is about thirty kilometers from the Pakistani border. The city is almost monochrome, adorning itself with ochre, the color of the Thar desert. Some residents enhance the ambient natural hue by painting their homes in bright colors. But this practice is today carried out on the margins because most of the havéli - small traditional palaces - remain faithful to the color of the sand.
This facade was photographed in the lower town. The district is located at the foot of the fortress. Of course, my attention was caught by this freshly painted facade with touches of bright colors. Unfortunately, there was nobody. I looked through my viewfinder to see how the photo might be composed if I decided to take. It was at this moment that the woman appeared from the right. Surprised, I still had time to trigger. I told myself that nothing was lost and that the woman was going to come back sooner or later. Ten minutes later, she had not returned. So I gave up.
