Are you watching me?? - a photo on Flickriver

            This White-tailed doe is a regular visitor to our yard.  She and several other does and fawns come every day to check out what's fallen from the bird feeders.  They are naturally skittish but still very curious and this one will come in pretty close to see what I'm doing.  She often watches while I'm clearing away snow or even just sitting with my camera, watching birds, squirrels and whatever else may come along.  I just love the intense expression in her eyes and her alert posture!

We recently had a heavy snowfall and the branches occasionally lose their loads when the sun warms them up.  This deer just got hit by a little clump of snow from above and the flakes are still swirling around in the air.
