Palau Guell (2)

            The Palau Guell is a Catalan modernist-style building, designed by Antoni Gaudí on behalf of Eusebi Guell Built between 1886 and 1890, the palace is located in the historic center of Barcelona.

The patron Eusebi Guell already owned another property on the Rambla when he commissioned Antoni Gaudí to design the Palau Guell.

In other words, the Palau Guell was born as an extension of that first house and, as such, the young architect inserted a glazed passage to connect the two buildings and which can still be visited today on the main floor.

It is part of the Unesco world heritage.

Il Palau Guell è un edificio in stile modernista catalano, progettato da Antoni Gaudí per conto di Eusebi Guell  Costruito tra il 1886 e il 1890, il palazzo si trova nel centro storico di Barcellona .
Il mecenate Eusebi Guell possedeva già un'altra proprietà sulla Rambla quando incaricò Antoni Gaudí di progettare il Palau Guell. In altre parole, il Palau Guell nacque come ampliamento di quella prima casa e, come tale, il giovane architetto inserì un passaggio vetrato per collegare i due edifici e che ancora oggi è visitabile al piano nobile.
Fa parte del patrimonio mondiale dell’Unesco.
