Taiwan barbet (Psilopogon nuchalis) - The Taiwan barbet call is very prominent at certain times of the year. But try as you might, they are incredibly difficult to spot. When you do spot them, they tend to fly off before you can photo them. I was fortunate enough to not only spot this one, but photograph him while he was making his call. In Chinese the bird is named 五色鳥, the five coloured bird, and has those five colours very prominently displayed about the neck, head and face.
