Happiness in Amne Machin - a photo on Flickriver

            Amne Machin highlands are located in the Guoluk Tibetan Autonomous prefecture and extend for hundreds of miles, about 6282m/20,605ft above sea level.
Amne Machin mountain is one of 21 holy mountains in Tibet. 
The average altitude in Amne Machin region is about 3500-4000m/11,480-13120ft;  there are high grasslands, glacial lakes, dense forests and deep valleys. In winter this area is covered with snow, but in summer it's dotted with flowers, sheep, yaks and various kinds of plants.  Tibetan nomadic families come here for the rich summer pastures.
